Verified ownerHow to wear Silk Lace system
By default, our systems are worn with clips + tape. The Silk Lace system can also be worn with full tape or glue. If this is the method you prefer, please indicate in your order and we will not install the clips for you.
Most users do not have to shave with the clips + tape method, but if your hairline is too straight or you do not have enough space on your forehead for the tape, then you might need to shave a little of your hairline to accommodate the tape. If your hair is too sparse at the sides and back, it might not be advisable to use clips as well. If you are unsure and need personalized advice, please reach out to our team.
How to measure your size
Follow our video guide to measure your size.
You will need a flexible ruler or measuring tape.
If you are wearing the system with clips + tape:
- Follow the video guide exactly.
- For clipped-on systems, an exact size match isn’t necessary. One size larger or smaller will still work. So don’t worry too much about matching your hair loss area perfectly.
- Simply ensure that the size selected can cover your hair loss area plus 2cm to the width and length. e.g. if your hair loss area is 14cm x 16cm, you should choose a size that is at least 16cm x 18cm.
- Always round up rather than round down. e.g. if your hair loss area is 14cm x 18.5cm, you should choose a size that is at least 16cm x 21cm (18.5cm + 2cm = 20.5cm, rounded up to 21cm).
If you are wearing it with full tape or glue:
- Do not add 2 cm to the width and length.
- We know that measuring your size can seem daunting, but don’t worry — it doesn’t have to be perfect. Small inaccuracies are rarely noticeable and can be fixed by shaving a bit more hair or trimming the hair system.
- If you have an existing hair system, you can also measure the width and length of your system and find the closest match with our sizes.
Maintenance routine
For a system worn with clips + tape, you would maintain the system every 7-10 days. During maintenance, you would change the tapes, and wash the hair with shampoo and conditioner. This process takes about 15 minutes.
For a system worn with full tape or glue, the process is largely the same, with the addition of shaving your head before re-attaching the system. Because the there is more tape and glue to clean, the process will also require more removal solution and time. Taking about 2 hours each time.
Frequently asked questions
How long can the hair system last?
If worn with clips + tape, EasyMane’s Silk Lace system typically lasts about 6-9 months. At 6-9 months there would be significant shedding at the front hairline, making the system unsuitable for hair styles that show off the hairline any more. If rest of the system would still be fine, so if you wear it with a hairstyle that covers the hairline, the system can still be used for a few more months. If you wear the Silk Lace with only tape and wear it to sleep and shower, it would typically last about 3-4 months.
If worn with clips + tape, EasyMane’s Cool Lace system typically lasts about 1-1.5 years. We have some users using a Cool Lace system for over 2 years as well. If you wear the Cool Lace with only tape and wear it to sleep and shower, it would typically last about 6-9 months.
Can I swim with the hair system?
Yes, you can swim with the hair system. The system will remain secure while you swim. The tape used for hair system is sweat proof, water proof, and wind proof.
Can I wear a hair system to sleep?
If you are using the system with clip + tape, you don’t need to wear it to sleep. The hair system can be taken out every night, placed on a rack, and worn again the next day. If you wish to, you can sleep while wearing the hair system. However this is not recommended as the friction between the hair and your bedding will cause faster wear and tear, reducing the lifespan of your system.
If you are using the system with full tape, then you would typically wear the system to sleep every night, only removing it during maintenance.
Do you offer hair systems with grey hair?
Yes we can provide hair systems with grey hair, either mixed with natural colored hair or entirely grey. Please select custom color and our team will be in touch to confirm your hair color with you. We will request for pictures of your current hair and we will match your system’s color and grey hair density with your picture.
Please note that custom colored systems are not eligible for returns.
Do you offer hair system with curly hair?
Our systems uses straight, south east asian hair, but can be permed to your desired level. Please indicate during checkout that you require a perm and our team will get in touch with you. We will request pictures of your current hair and will perm it to match your hair.

How do I wash my natural hair with a hair system?
For the clip + tape method, you can remove the hair system any time you want and wash your natural hair as per usual. Simply wear the hair system after drying your natural hair.
For full tape or glue method, you would shower with the hair system on, and shampoo your hair together with the hair system. Note that to avoid tangling the hair system’s hair, you should not rub the hair in a circular motion. Only rub the hair following the direction of the hair.
Can I shower with the hair system?
Yes, you can shower while wearing the hair system. You can even shampoo the hair system while wearing it. Just be careful not to rub the hair in a circular motion to avoid tangling. You should rub the hair following the direction of the hair.
It is recommended to wash the hair system every 7-10 days when you maintain the system. However, sometimes you may wish to shower with it to wash off any hair products so that you can restyle it.
Washing the hair system every day is not recommended because it will cause wear and tear, reducing the lifespan of the hair system.
What kind of hairstyles can I do with a hair system?
You can do any type of hairstyles. We will provide video guides to help you perfect your style.
The hair on our systems come in 3 pre-cut lengths, each cut can be styled in multiple ways. Check out the pictures on our hair system product pages to see some of the hairstyles you can achieve with each length.
For users who are new to hair systems, we recommend the short or medium length because crew length is more difficult to maintain. You will need to trim your natural hair more often to blend it with the system.
Can I dye the hair system?
We can dye the hair system for you. Please select custom color and our team will confirm your hair color with you after placing your order. We will dye the hair based on pictures that you send over.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the exact same shade because color would appear different on different screens. We cannot provide any colors that require intense bleaching (e.g. neon colors, bright colors, ash colors).
If you wish to dye the system yourself, we can send you a natural dark brown system which will be able to be bleached up to 7 or 8 degree color (dark blonde). Please select custom color and indicate during checkout that you want a natural color system.
Please note that repeated dyeing and bleaching of the hair system will cause the hair quality to worsen, potentially reducing the lifespan of your system. Systems with custom color are not eligible for exchange or return.
Will others know that I’m wearing a hair system?
When you first wear a hair system, people who see you every day would definitely notice your hair becoming thicker. However, people who don’t see you frequently would not notice the difference. We provide advice to our customers to help them figure out how to cut their natural hair such that it blends in with our hair systems naturally.
Don’t worry too much about people finding out. People usually don’t care whether you are wearing a system. At the end of the day it’s about how good you look, and how confident you are. If you choose to tell others that you are wearing a hair system, you would find that the reaction is curiosity rather than judgement. It actually makes for an interesting conversation topic if you confidently share your experience!
I’m interested to wear a hair system but I’m self conscious. What is it like to start wearing a hair system?
That’s perfectly normal! Most people would feel self conscious at first about wearing a hair system. Wearing a hair system is a lot like getting a great new haircut: you notice it more than anyone else. If you look good and carry yourself with confidence, others will not care whether you are wearing a system. Once you have a natural-looking system and experience how secure it feels, your worries will fade and that’s when you would feel young, rejuvenated, and powerful again. Within a week or two, most people forget they even have it on — it just becomes part of their everyday life. Trust us, it’s an amazing feeling to see yourself with a head full of hair again and definitely worth a shot!
My hair loss is really severe and the hair on my sides and back are thin as well. Can I still wear a hair system?
Yes you can still use a hair system, but the clip method might not be a fit for you. If your hair is too thin at the sides and back to support the clips, then you can use a tape method. This method would require you to shave the middle of your head and stick the system on. Our team can guide you if you need more advice. Just contact us!

I’ve been searching for a high-quality hair system that doesn’t require shaving my head. Over the years, I’ve tried everything ok!!! Partial forehead toupees(the ones that cover only the front) and full lace wigs(the ones that you need to wear wig nets and do special stuff to hide the hairline) to hybrid systems that use glue in the front and clips on the sides and back. The hybrid style was the most convenient for me, but the cheaper options I tested always fell short. Their quality was subpar, featuring incredibly frizzy hair on the inside, which I assume is to make it have more volume, and a front hairline made of a cheap, plastic-looking material which yellows overtime! Because the hairlines looked so obvious, I was forced to style my hair with bangs to cover them up, even though I desperately wanted a natural look that exposed my forehead.

For context, I’m based in the Philippines; the package shipped from Singapore via UPS on July 1st and landed on my doorstep on July 3rd which is super fast express shipping!
The unboxing experience felt incredibly premium. Even the box itself feels premium! The kit includes:

The toupee itself feels exceptionally high-end. The base is remarkably soft, and true to their word, the silk lace design feels incredibly cool and breathable on my head, it almost feels like I’m wearing nothing! The clips feel very secure and does not hurt wearing them over my natural hair. The hair is smooth, silky, and thick(!!!) which is living up to its Remy hair designation. Best of all, the lace front features perfectly bleached knots/roots, making the hairline look completely natural. The base looks like scalp too so you can part it anywhere! I was easily able to style it using a mini flat iron and a blow dryer, finishing the look with a bit of hair wax and spray.
Overall, this is a wonderful, game-changing product. A massive thank you to Augustine and the entire team for crafting this! I will absolutely be ordering again in the future!

I was browsing EasyMane’s website one night around 11pm, looking for a hair system for my hubby. I had a few questions about which measurement system to get, so I dropped them a WhatsApp message at around 11.30pm, not expecting a reply until the next day.
To my surprise, Augustine replied at 1.33am 😱, and we ended up chatting until almost 3am! 🌙
Despite all my back-and-forth questions and clarifications, Augustine was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. He guided me through every step and made sure I got the correct measurements for my hubby. 🙌
My hubby had previously gotten his first hair system elsewhere, where everything was done onsite. I honestly thought professional measurements could only be done in person, so I was amazed that Augustine could guide us to get accurate measurements ourselves from home! 📏✨
After receiving the EasyMane hair system and comparing it with the previous one, we realised just how poor our first system actually was. 😭 We had completely been overcharged—it cost about four times more, came with hard-selling, and the measurements were too small, causing my hubby to feel uncomfortable for months.
